TRAINING & CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

As a professional facilitator and instructional designer, I have been involved in many training and capacity development efforts. I have had the privilege to work in many different contexts including the culturally diverse countries of Honduras, Costa Rica, Guyana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nepal, and Cambodia. Some of my specialties include the analysis of training and capacity development gaps (human, institutional, and enabling environment), working with subject matter experts to develop appropriate training materials, and in developing materials that are appropriate for varied target audiences. I have designed, developed, and implemented training targeting a range of actors including low-literacy rural communities, highly trained researchers, and even elementary school students!

Below are a few examples of some of my work as an instructional designer and capacity development specialist. More examples of training manuals and training activities are provided on the "Instructional Design" page.
