In-Person Classes

Classroom teaching is one of the educational environments that I enjoy the most. Developing trust and reciprocity between students is the foundations of my teaching philosophy. In my experience, a long-term (semester) class allows for the development of such a community. Below is a photo gallery of courses that I have taught or co-taught along with a brief explanation of each activity pictured. Please visit the Syllabi page for a list of my current courses, and view the Student Testimonials from teaching reviews for both in-person and online classes.

Online Classes

Teaching online can be just as rewarding as a traditional face-to-face setting when thought and care is given to its design and methods. I am experienced in three forms of online and distance teaching formats including web-enhanced courses (students participate in a traditional face-to-face setting but lecture and other preparatory materials are found online), fully online courses (synchronous and asynchronous), and Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Please click on a thumbnail below to view a photo gallery of some of the teaching methods that I use in online classes.
